2 - practice tests

Пока остановилась на:
1 - Inside into IELTS
2 - Cambridge practice tests for IELTS

Покритикуйте, пожалуйста, может маловато или не то? :)

Просто очень хочется средний 7,0 и уже даже через месяц :). Риторический вопрос - возможно ли? :)

ВСЕМ УДАЧИ!!!

I used Cambridge practice only, spent about 3 weeks on preparation (not every day except for writing). Writing was the biggest problem, so I tried to write 2 essays per day. I don't know how I got 7 on writing, cause I'm pretty illiterate.
The exam is not that difficult but tricky. The results will be available in 2 weeks.
Unfortunately, I got rid of all IELTS materials assuming that I wont need it anymore (all British Commonwealth countries have an exemption for folks studying in English - residency should count).

Thanks a lot! I downloaded plenty of useful stuff :) using мула :)
I'm dazzled a little bit :) - lots of materials, advices... + time restraints :)

Alex thank you for opinion!

Thanks, but I've never used the certificate:). I got 7 + in every section with overall 7.3:). If I need to take it again for Canada I hope to get higher score. I improved writing a bit (thanks to autopsy protocols) and use "listening" every day ("could you please spell it letter by letter? Let me read it back":)).

If I need to take it again for Canada

No, you don't :) + You can apply through Buffalo - so the period of time is shorter than in Russia.

up to 2 years, but usually much shorter. Comparing with 2-6 years in Russia. :)

Elf,

When I was preparing for my IELTS I used a non-exam oriented essay writing guide. I dont remember the exact name, got it from my local library. Basically it reflected on dos and donts of good essay writing.

I was worried the most about the writing part but passed with the score of 7 (overall 7.5)

Всем удачи!

IELTS attempt - passed with required scores :))) 7.5; 8,0; 7.0; 8.0 :))) - more than enough for my goals :))) Total = 7.5 :))

If this helps:
Books and discs:

1. Cambridge Practice Tests for IELTS 1-6 (Vanessa Jakeman, Claire McDowell) - MUST
2. IELTS Practice Test Plus 1-2 (Vanessa Jakeman, Claire McDowell) - optional, good
3. IELTS preparation and practice 1 book - listening and speaking 2 book reading and writing (general) - very good exam strategies!
4. Official IELTS book (www.ielts.org) - similar to real exam test..

Taking into consideration 60% of total time as business traveling....:)))) Ufff :)... let me take a deep breath...and... :)))

Good luck for everybody! :))
