We are opening abstract submission for the next (5th) issue of the RAMA Journal.
The issue will be published for the opening of the 6th Joint RAMA-RADA National Conference. The Conference will be held on October 3-5, 2008 at the Hyatt Harborside Hotel, Boston, MA, USA. For more information please see: http://www.russiandoctors.org
Abstract submission deadline: July 15, 2008.
To ensure that the abstract receives proper consideration, please make sure that the abstract is submitted to the appropriate category:
1. Clinical Science
2. Dentistry
3. Public Health
4. Basic Science
Abstract Title
An abstract must have a short, specific title (containing no abbreviations) that indicates the nature of the investigation.
Title case: Capitalize first letter of each word in title
Title length: No limit, but short title is preferred.
Author Name(s)
Please include authors first name, middle initial and last name.
Please include all authors degrees (MD, DO, DMD, DDS, PhD, RN, etc.)
Institution and abbreviated address, with no titles or appointments
If an author's name appears on more than one abstract, it must be identical on each abstract.
Abstract Data
Submit all abstracts in English.
Proofread abstracts carefully to avoid errors before submission.
Abstract Text
All abstracts must be structured using the following section headings or they will not be accepted:
Background and hypothesis - A brief statement of the purpose of the study and the current state of research in the field.
Methods - The methods of study or experimental approach clearly, but briefly, defined.
Results - A summary of the results of the study, including sufficient details to support those conclusions.
These may be presented in a brief table (no more than 5 columns of data)
Conclusions - A statement concerning the significance of the work and its implications for further research.
Additional instructions:
Abstracts should not describe research in which the chemical identity or source of the reagent is proprietary or cannot be revealed.
Use generic drug names.
Do not begin sentences with numerals.
Standard abbreviations may be used without definition.
Nonstandard abbreviations (kept to a minimum) must be placed in parentheses after the first use of the word or phrase abbreviated.
Do not include references, credits or grant support.
Do not include names or personal information of patient participating in the study.
Abstracts are limited to 2,000 characters (up to 350 words that preferable fit into one printed page).
This includes the text plus any graphic/table, but not the title or authors.
Up to 1 table and black and white graphic/figure are allowed.
Addition of a table deducts 250 characters; addition of a graphic deducts 500 characters. Spaces do not count as characters.

Editorial language assistance will be available for additional cost of $25/abstract.
Please send the abstract as an attached Microsoft Word file to rama.journal.editor@gmail.com.
Please send authors photo as a separate JPEG file with resolution at least 300 dpi to rama.journal.editor@gmail.com.
Abstracts submitted after the July 15, 2008, deadline will not be accepted.
