Dear All,
It is my pleasure to share with you this great news from Scanlan. The company donated $12,000 worth of surgical instruments to the SPHP. This company is a leader in manufacturing the highest quality surgical instruments. I have to admit, this donation came as a surprise to me because they do not normally negotiate down the instrument prices at all.
As an update, the Russian American Medical Assocaition/International Children's Heart Foundation mission to Kemerovo will take place 7/19 - 8/2/2008. All tickets are purchased (although we came short of the required funds). There will be 15-18 patients operated on over the 2-weeks period, many more patients will be seen and examined.
Fund raising process had not been very productive so far. Lake Hospital Systen donated $1,000 and the Hillcrest Hospital donated $2,500. I hope we can step it up now, when we have all the required advertising materials available on both RAMA and RAMA-Ohio web pages.
Thank you all for your great work and support. I would like to ask for any further fund-raising ideas and suggestions.
