Is there anything other than NIH's PubMed for looking up medical articles in Russian? Anything on the web?

You can try web sites of different medical schools - try Moscow and St.Peterburg first.
Why do you need it in Russian?

At that time I was looking for papers on TB / BCG in Russia, so I was hoping to find something useful. My guess is that only a few of russian medical journals are indexed on PubMed, and I was hoping that something more advanced than a card-catalog exists in Russia.

It would be nice to get this TB issue resolved, because we are all in the same boat - I have to get this stupid CXR all the time. We need an smart American ID consultant.

May I ask you why are you interested in BCG/PPD stuff?

I have to take the PPD test in a few weeks, and since I have tested positive in the past, I wanted to find out if it is necessary for me to go through prophylaxis in case I test positively. There was actually a discussion on this forum about one month ago - see TB AND BCG in this forum section.

JUST LIKE CANADIANS WE ARE TESTED POSITIVE WITH MANTOU .
I WAS ADVISED TO GET MANTOU WAIVER DUE TO BCG IMMUNIZATION(with every mantou skin test you are getting more sensitive to it).

A clear x-ray (and a history of BCG) will do for school purposes. They can't make you take INH, it's "recommended" for obvious reasons, but nobody can force you.
I was in the same situation, tested positive and had to get an x-ray. As far as the future goes, they said I'll need to fill out their TB questionnair every year, and may need to repeat x-ray (didn't ask how often). It might be different in your school though.

As far as I remember from an ID person, getting PPD is in fact even contraindicated for someone with a PMHx of BCG vaccination.
Do you have your old medical records from Russia?
