Letter to all R-AMA members and other involved medical professionals
1. BOD meeting was held on April 20, 2004 - full article posted on the web site.
2. R-AMA 2004 Schedule changed a bit, the update is on the Forum - http://russiandoctors.org/forum/index.php. Preliminary agenda for 2005 was posted on the web also.
3. 49 new members were introduced into R-AMA.
4. Boston meetings on May 7-9 went very well – the text is ready and we will publish all info on the web site and Forum.
5. May 14th – R-AMA's 2nd Anniversary – Cleveland, OH - Ohio Chapter meeting, lecture and banquet went well also. With 52 people in attendance we established the Ohio and the Student Chapters of R-AMA.
6. 2nd National R-AMA Conference - Boston, MA - September 10-12, 2004 - we started the preparations. Updates are published on the Forum regularly.
7. Washington, DC trip – World Russian Forum - April 26-27, 2004. Igor Efimov, PhD - professor from Case Western Reserve and the Head of R-AMA's Education and Research Committee went there to represent R-AMA. The report for the web is being prepared.
8. Next presidential, Board of Directors and Head of the Committees re-elections will be held during the 2nd National Conference. If you want to participate, please, let us know. Term - 1 year, (no more than 2 consecutive terms for the President and Vice President). Since not everyone will be at the Conference we have to think about a vote by mail or Internet system.
9. MMR (Medical Mission to Russia) - no news. Raising money and looking for the best venue for the trip. Looking for more interested physicians in several specialties.
