Letter to all R-AMA members and other involved medical professionals
1. BOD meeting was held on June 09, 2004 to discuss the amendments to R-AMA’s governing documents - full article posted on the web site. The amended Articles of Incorporation and the Code of Regulations of R-AMA were sent to all members and were approved. They will now be sent to the State and to the IRS for final approval.
2. 14 new members were introduced into R-AMA since May.
3. 2nd National R-AMA Conference - Boston, MA - September 10-12, 2004 – we continue to work on every detail. The agenda is full with more people ready to present than we have time slots. The first issue of R-AMA Journal is being designed. Currently working with the sponsors and on the list of guests. Updates are published on the Forum regularly.
4. MMR (Medical Mission to Russia)- no news. Raising money and looking for the best venue for the trip. Looking for more interested physicians in several specialties.
5. The Association of Russian Speaking Medical Professionals of Massachusetts has decided to join the Association as a Massachusetts Chapter. The merger will be finalized at the 2nd National Conference in September.
6. Julia Frantsuzov, MD will serve as an Association Treasurer until re-elections in September.
